Fulltone GT 500
One side is a boost/overdrive and the other side is a distortion. You can throw a switch to determine what comes first (boost into distortion or vice versa). It creates overdrive/distortion in a new way that is supposed to be more harmonically pleasing and retains or injects a large amount of touch sensitivity than most other pedals. Again, it is a pedal attempting to work like an amp turned up but rather than just simulating this effect it is sorta doing its own thing to work with an amp. Apparently from HC reviews, it does have lots of good sustain and interacts well with an amp. It is stated to have good dynamics and is very touch sensitive. One user cleverly discussed how it is more like an eq for your breakup or a way of managing your breakup characteristics for your amp signal. Interestingly, several people commented on how this device drives the signal hard without introducing compression of the notes following the pick attack. I find this very interesting.
